US authorities will force Facebook to sell Instagram and WhatsApp

Facebook acquired Instagram back in 2012, and two years later WhatsApp. Apparently, the US authorities were unable to

come to terms with this while attempting to force Facebook to sell both companies.

This claim was found in a lawsuit againstAmerican company, which was filed by the US Federal Trade Commission and virtually all states. The plaintiffs believe that Facebook violated the rules of competition by its actions.

”For almost ten years, Facebookused her dominance and monopoly power to crush smaller rivals and stifle competition, all at the expense of ordinary users, ”announced New York Attorney General Laetitia James on behalf of the 46-state coalition.
