Sony has decided to remove the last veil of secrets around the PlayStation 5, showing the inner workings of the console.
Inside PlayStation
5
In a new video, a Sony engineer completely disassembledconsole, showing external and internal components. On the front panel of the PS5, in addition to the disc drive, users will find USB-C with a bandwidth of 10 GB, as well as the usual USB-A. On the back there are two USB 3.0 ports, HDMI for image output, a LAN port and a power connector.
The stand is also interestingly designed. For greater stability in a vertical position, the PS5 can be mounted on a bolt, which is hidden in a special compartment if you decide to place the console horizontally.

The side panels of the PlayStation 5 can be removed without a screwdriver, and hide a pair of large cooling fans on both sides, as well as the Blu-Ray drive itself.
On the board itself there are separate blocksAMD Zen 2 central processor, Radeon RDNA 2 graphics chip, 16 GB RAM, and an SSD with a special memory controller. For cooling, the PS5 uses a liquid metal system and a heat sink to dissipate heat. Note that Japanese journalists have already praised the console's cooling system for its silence and efficiency.
