Judging by the fact that the video was filmed in winter, wedemonstrated the first anti-aircraft missile system, which arrived in Ukraine last fall. The handover of the second IRIS-T SLM was announced a few days ago.

Ukraine received anti-aircraft missile systemsmedium range. They can intercept helicopters, aircraft, drones and cruise missiles at an altitude of up to 20 km and at a distance of up to 40 km. According to Air Force personnel, the air defense system shown in the video was able to destroy more than 60 air targets. On the first day of use, IRIS-T showed maximum efficiency, shooting down 100% of the targets.

The complex includes a radarthe Hensoldt TRML-4D station can detect threats at a distance of up to 250 km. The launcher uses IRIS-T surface-to-air missiles. The chassis is a 10-ton MAN SX45 8&#215;8 truck.

Note that initially the IRIS-T rocketwas developed for aircraft to replace the AIM-9 Sidewinder. The aviation version appeared in 2005, and the version for launching from ground launchers - in 2015.
