The Armed Forces of Ukraine for the first time showed the combat work of the British self-propelled 155-mm howitzer AS-90

The first video appeared demonstrating the combat operation of an artillery installation.

What is known

The AS-90 is equipped with a 155 mm L31 gun. A self-propelled howitzer can hit targets at a distance of up to 30 km. Additional armament of the artillery mount is represented by one 7.62 mm L7 machine gun.

The United Kingdom announced for the first timetransfer AS-90 to the Armed Forces of Ukraine at the beginning of this year. Initially, it was about providing 24 howitzers, but later the number was increased to 33 pieces.

The AS-90 is equipped with a Cummins VTA903T diesel engine. The British self-propelled howitzer is capable of speeds up to 55 km/h. The power reserve is 370 km.
