Time to experiment: LG Wing with dual screens will be the first Explorer Project device

Before the launch of the LG Velvet smartphone, the company said it would revolutionize the smartphone market and introduce

new branding that reflects moderntrends of solving unique personal tastes and emotions of a person with a big emphasis on design. It is difficult to call LG Velvet a breakthrough, but the manufacturer does not seem to have abandoned plans to release something original and unusual.

Explorer Project

LG says new LG Wing smartphone will bethe first device of the experimental Explorer Project. Let us remind you that the gadget will have a dual display and a T-shaped design. It is expected that the main one will be a 6.8-inch screen, and an additional 4-inch one will fold out from the bottom of the device. In essence, this is the same LG Velvet (it has the same 6.8-inch screen), but with an additional display.

According to LG, Explorer Project will be the newcategory of mobile devices. The main goal is to “find new ways to interact with mobile devices, focusing on the ever-changing needs of today’s consumers and challenging established user norms.” LG adds that “it is the boldest, newest smartphone with a different form factor and mobile capabilities that cannot be achieved with conventional smartphones.”
