Creator of counter-revolutionary Telegram channel executed in Iran

Information has appeared online that Iranian authorities have executed the founder of a local counter-revolutionary

Telegram channel AmadNews. We are talking about Ruhollah Zama, who was found guilty of anti-government activities and cooperation with foreign intelligence services.

The death sentence itself was pronounced back in June, butdue to attempts to appeal it, the execution process was carried out only on December 12, Euronews reports. At the moment, the international organization Reporters Without Borders has made a statement on this topic. Its representatives called the incident “another crime of Iranian justice.”

Note that the AmadNews Telegram channel wasblocked by the messenger itself back in 2017. The founder of Telegram, Pavel Durov, explained this by the fact that the channel administrators violated the rules of the service, calling for violence.
