Glass on such devices is used asa transparent window covering the touchscreen in front of the device. Here we are talking about a device, all sides of which will be covered with glass. It will be a glass front panel, back panel and glass sides. In this case, the glass coating will become visually and tactilely invisible, since it will seem to consist of a single piece of glass (even if in reality it will be several separate pieces combined into one).
This means that in the future, the iPhone may come out with glass in front, behind and even on the sides. All this will look as if the smartphone is covered with a single piece of glass.

Apple understands that glass will be on all sideslook weird. To do this, all glass panels will be slightly different. For example, there will be a main screen in front, along the edges there will be touch buttons for changing the volume, turning off, activating silent mode. There may be several buttons that allow you to bind your functions.
The patent is very futuristic, the idea seems to be taken fromscience fiction movie. However, it is possible that in a few years Apple will release a fully glass iPhone. It is also unknown how the problem with the low strength of such a smartphone will be solved. Holding it in your hand will be inconvenient, and you won’t put a cover on it either.
