A new service for measuring Internet speed has been launched in Russia. It's free and can check any

devices.

The service is called Megabitus. Its creators offer using free native applications for iOS and Android (and there is also a web version) to check the speed of broadband, cellular or Wi-Fi connections on each device. The project's website even includes a map that shows the latest performance data for mobile and fixed networks around the world. You can click on places marked on the map and view the results of checks on various networks.

It is worth noting that in the service manualDenis Kuskov, managing director of TelecomDaily, is participating. This agency is known for its research on the speed of networks of Russian mobile operators. For example, at the end of the year, TelecomDaily named the fastest mobile operators in Moscow and the Moscow Region.

Earlier it was also reported that Megabitus is able to measure the delay time of data transmission (ping) and the ratio of failed connections.
