The President stressed that Russia needs to increase the production of both the first and second vaccines, in order to provide the Russian market with these drugs, first of all.
Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova said thatthe first 60 thousand units of vaccine of the "Vector" center are planned to be released in the near future. 40 thousand volunteers, including people over 65 years of age, will be involved in testing the new vaccine. EpiVacCorona's clinical studies were conducted on 100 volunteers, she said.
The work on the third drug is being completed by specialists from the Chumakov Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
Recall that in Russia, clinical trials of the third domestic vaccine, created at the Chumakov Center, continue. Now "undesirable phenomena" among the participants are not observed.
