Russia has created an unmanned helicopter for the transportation of heavy cargo in the Far North

According to data published by the Russian publication Izvestia, Russia has created an unmanned helicopter R-2200

for transporting heavy loads weighing up to 80 kg in the Far North.

Using the latest automaticcontrol, the aircraft is capable of autonomously and independently passing the entire route from takeoff to landing. Interestingly, it was even adapted for landing on a moving cargo platform or rocking deck of a ship, which makes it even more useful when operating in the Arctic. As for the helicopter control point, it is located on the ground inside a specially equipped minibus.

It should be noted that the R-2200 is the firsta similar development of domestic engineers. Past drone models were only capable of lifting loads weighing up to 35 kg, while the huge amount of equipment needed for oil production and geological exploration weighs much more.
