Recently, an iOS 12 bug was published on the network.1, which was discovered by a member of the Google Project Zero team. A security specialist published information about a network bug five days after Apple released iOS 12.1.1 with a fix for this bug.
So far, little is known about the bug, but, according to the postscript to the iOS 12.1.1 update, it could be used to execute arbitrary code with privileges.
Apple fixed the bug in the latest version of iOS. It’s not yet possible to say whether this bug will help in developing a jailbreak, but we advise you not to install a system update if you would like to use the jailbreak in the future.
KeenLab team has already proven that version iOS 12jailbreakable. The necessary exploits should now appear, so that developers can turn them into a jailbreak tool. When this happens is another question.
At the moment, the most relevant jailbreak tool is unc0ver, which supports versions from iOS 11.0 to 11.4 beta 3. Jailbreak for iOS 11.4 and later is not yet available.
