Greenberg noted that the company takes into account the firstqueue of players' wishes. Microsoft won't force users to pay twice for the same game thanks to Smart Delivery. This technology allows games to receive free graphics updates for the Xbox Series X without purchasing new versions.
Greenberg also mentioned that now all gamescost differently, and therefore the situation has become more complicated. An Xbox spokesperson acknowledged that there are exceptions to games that take advantage of next-gen capabilities but do not use Smart Delivery. That's why they ask the user for more money. Xbox believes that developers have the right to do whatever they want with their product, but the company itself gives priority to fans. Ultimately, Greenberg concluded, “All of our games will be on Game Pass. Is price really that important if you have a subscription?”
It's worth noting that PlayStation 5 games are already more expensive.
