Sony PlayStation VR2 was announced at CES2022. Headset connects to Sony PlayStation 5 game consoles via USB Type-C cable. For motion tracking, there are four cameras compared to two in the first generation device.
The novelty is equipped with an OLED panel with a resolution of 4Kand HDR support. The viewing angle is 110 degrees. Each screen has a resolution of 2000 x 2040 pixels. Eye tracking technology allows you to draw in detail the objects in the field of view of the player.
The cost of the Sony PlayStation VR2 was $550 inUSA and €600 in Europe. The company will offer the Horizon Call of the Mountain bundle for $600 and €650, respectively. A charging station for the controller will cost $50 / €50.
