What is known

The tank was probably destroyed by the Americanself-propelled howitzer M109A6 Paladin, which can fire German SMArt 155 shells. The cost of one cluster munition is approximately $100,000, while the tank costs $2.5-4.5 million, depending on the level of modernization.

The T-90M is the newest Russian tank used in the war against Ukraine. There is also a T-14 Armata, but it does not take part in hostilities.

According to Oryx, the Ukrainian Armed Forces captured at least two tanks. In total, the Russian army lost more than two dozen modernized T-90M tanks in 16 months.
