Gays have been named more prone to migraines

American scientists have discovered that homosexual and bisexual people are more likely to suffer from attacks

migraines than heterosexuals.

Researchers from the University of California decided to test whether there is a connection between a person's sexual orientation and susceptibility to migraines.

Scientists analyzed data from 9,894 Americansamong whom there were equal numbers of men and women. The International Headache Society diagnostic criteria were used to determine whether they had migraines or not. Participants were divided into groups by sexual orientation: heterosexual (8,426 people), mostly heterosexual (people of the same sex sometimes seem attractive - 1,062 people), and bi- and homosexual (406 people).

As it turned out, heterosexuals were less likely to suffer frommigraines than everyone else. The study authors suggested that headache attacks can cause stress, developing due to discrimination against sex minorities.
