German edition of Der Spiegel for almost two weekswrote back that Germany handed over IRIS-T SLM to Ukraine. However, only a few days ago this information was officially confirmed. Together with the anti-aircraft missile systems, Germany sent eight Zetros trucks and two trucks with manipulators.

IRIS-T SLM is an air defense systemmedium range defense. The anti-aircraft missile system is aimed at providing protection against cruise missiles, unmanned aerial vehicles, helicopters and aircraft.

The system uses IRIS-T aircraft missilesair-to-air class, modified for launch from ground launchers. The maximum launch range of the SLM version is 40 km. The launcher consists of eight containers. The TRML-4D radar allows you to detect air threats at a distance of up to 250 km.
