Scientists from the Ural Federal University and colleagues from Portugal found that high temperatures
The authors of the work used information from Rosstatand the Russian database on fertility and mortality for the period from 1989 to 2015. Scientists saw that the number of violent crimes increased during the warmer months. In particular, the increase in the number of victims occurs on days with an average temperature above +25 degrees Celsius.
The researchers explained that due to the hightemperature, the human body produces stress hormones, including adrenaline, norepinephrine and testosterone. This can cause aggression and anger. In addition, in colder weather, people stay at home more than interact with each other.
