Rules for car sharing will be toughened due to lack of discipline of drivers

According to the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate for Moscow, for eight months of 2020, the share of accidents involving cars of car sharing services

increased from 4.3% to 5.3%. At the same time, the total number of accidents fell by 15%. The department noted that users of the service grossly violate traffic rules and often drive drunk.

According to him, the greatest danger is represented by drivers with up to six years of experience. Since the beginning of the year, only inspectors have identified more than 61 thousand violations committed by car-sharing drivers.

In this regard, according to the head of the UGIBDDMoscow of Alexei Diokin, Moscow officials and market participants are developing the technology of "security protocols", with the help of which car-sharing operators will restrict drivers' access to cars. We are talking about new safety standards, as well as self-identification and verification of the adequacy of drivers, the newspaper writes.

Some operators track behaviordrivers, others do not let those with zero experience behind the wheel. The Ministry of Internal Affairs is busy preparing a service that will allow companies through the "State Services" to monitor the status of the client's driver's license and the violations committed by him. A digital driver profile is due in 2021.
