Star cast, dark atmosphere and release date – the developers of Alone in the Dark revealed important details of the new version of the cult horror

Publisher THQ Nordic held a broadcast dedicated to the restart of the horror game Alone in the Dark, during which

shared a number of interesting details about the game.

What is known

First, let's note the stellar cast.The role of private detective Edward Carnby will be played by famous actor David Harbor &#8211; star of the TV series “Stranger Things”. He not only voiced the character, but also gave him his appearance. The artist noted that he is a longtime fan of Alone in the Dark and gladly took part in working on the game.

The second main character will be the aristocrat EmilyHartwood (Emily Hartwood), who is forced to start searching for her missing uncle and go to his creepy house. The role of the girl will be played by Jodie Comer &#8211; star of the TV series “Killing Eve”.

Both characters are equivalent, and for each of them you can go through the game, but the events of the horror will be different, depending on the chosen protagonist.

The developers showed a lot of interesting shots,which make it safe to say that the new part of Alone in the Dark is similar to classic survival horror games such as Resident Evil and The Evil Within.

Alone in the Dark will release on October 25, 2023 on PS5, Xbox Series and PC.
