AI voice platform ElevenLabs raises $19 million

ElevenLabs, a startup developing an artificial intelligence platform for voice generation, announced

raising $19 million in Series A funding round.

What is known

The company said that the investments are used todevelopment of an advanced research center in the field of voice AI. ElevenLabs also plans to launch a number of additional products to support markets such as publishing, games and entertainment.

Funding round led by venture capital firmAndreessen Horowitz, former GitHub CEO Nat Friedman, and entrepreneur Daniel Gross. Andreessen Horowitz will take a seat on the board of directors.

The startup was also supported by Credo Ventures, Concept Ventures and a number of strategic angel investors.
