Iranian hackers accidentally post videos of their training

A security mistake made by Iranian hackers led to a video of their training being leaked. This is the first

a case that allows you to see “behind the scenes of their methods.”

IBM Service Received Nearly Five Hour Videosa group of hackers, which is possibly related to the state. Their name is ITG18 (also known as Charming Kitten, Phosphor, or APT35). They use these materials to train their operators. The videos show hackers trying to hack into the personal accounts of the US and Greek navies, as well as failed phishing attempts against US State Department officials.

“In some videos, the operator was managing their accounts, but in others, hackers were checking access and filtering data from previously compromised accounts,” the researchers noted.

Hackers who hacked Twitter stole the passwords of 45 accounts

Researchers from IBM added that they found a video ona virtual private cloud server, which turned out to be in their access due to incorrect configuration of security settings. The server contained over 40 gigabytes of data.

These videos show that ITG18 had access toe-mail and social media accounts received using spear phishing. They used account login information, removed suspicious login notifications to avoid alerting their victims, and filtered contacts, photos, and documents on Google Drive.

The hackers also connected the victims' credentials to email collaboration software. So they tracked and managed compromised accounts together.
