Cabinet approved the concept of regulation of artificial intelligence

Russian President Vladimir Putin in July of this year instructed the government to approve a separate

federal project “Artificial Intelligence” and ensure its financing, including from budget funds for the implementation of the national program “Digital Economy of the Russian Federation”. 

The concept defines the principles on the basis of whichIn the future, the regulation will be improved so that favorable conditions for the development of artificial intelligence and robotics will appear and existing barriers in various areas - from medicine to space - disappear. The use of modern solutions will allow bringing the industry to a new, higher level, the prime minister noted.

It is important that all innovations will be accepted withtaking into account the fact that artificial intelligence and robotics technologies must be safe for people and work exclusively for human well-being - this is a key provision of the concept.

Financial incentives are also provided. There are already a number of measures to support developers in this area, which will be strengthened. It is also planned to develop public-private partnerships.
