Super Retina OLEDdisplay
For the first time, an AMOLED display was used for the iPhone line. It is 5.8 inches diagonally, and its resolution is – 2436x1125 with 458 PPI.

HDR
It's not just the quantity, but also the quality of the pixels. The screen supports HDR technology (including Dolby Vision HDR). The colors on it are more saturated, and the details are clearer.
Curled edges of the screen
iPhone X is made from the same materials asiPhone 8, but the shape of its body is different. Of course, there is a notch on top of the display, and its edges are bent and smoothly transition into frames. The curved screen on the iPhone also appeared for the first time.
Face ID
IPhone X does not have Touch ID. Now authentication will be performed using the new Face ID system. It consists of a camera and sensors located in a recess on the display. Face ID technology is powered by the TrueDepth front camera.
The system consists of a spotlight,infrared camera and streaming porthole. A porthole projects light onto your face. Spotlight produces 30,000 invisible points that read your face parameters. Then the infrared image and the point model are sent to the neural system and create a mathematical model of your face. All data is stored in Secure Enclave (i.e. it is protected, and you can access it only by disassembling the device).
The whole process takes place within the device and no data is transmitted to the server.
Face ID only works when you look at the screen.
The system cannot be fooled by a photograph of your face (or even a high-quality volume mask).
Selfie in portrait mode
Thanks to TrueDepth sensor front cameracan take pictures in portrait mode. The camera resolution is 7MP. It also supports portrait light mode, which allows you to add lighting effects to your photo.
On iPhone 8, the old FaceTime HD camera remains.
Optical image stabilization in both cameras
The dual-camera system on the iPhone X is slightly betterthan on iPhone 8. Two 12Pm cameras (f 1.8 and 2.4 apertures) support optical image stabilization. Now, videos with magnification in poorly lit conditions will look much better (noise reduction has also been improved).
The additional 12MP telephoto camera on the iPhone 8 has a smaller aperture of f/2.8.
Animoji
Apple has added more than ten animatedemoji characters that can change facial expressions based on yours. They work only in Messages. You can take a photo or record a video with an animated character that will contain sound.
Gesture management
The iPhone X does not have a Home button. This means that a new way has been added for every feature, from unlocking your device to using Apple Pay.
