“What the hell, guys?”: the authors of Baldur’s Gate 3 scolded players for creating boring characters

Larian Studios continues to flirt with the Baldur’s Gate 3 community, and in the description of the new update, the developers

scolded players for creating characters that were too boring.

It's your fault

The developers analyzed the actionsusers of BG3, and created a character based on the most popular decisions of the players. As a result, Larian ended up with a standard Vault, which the developers were extremely unhappy with.

"Let's look at your creations (that's allyour fault) at the character creation stage. We took the most popular settings in the editor and repeated them. At first we thought our analytics system wasn't working! We double-checked. Works. Congratulations, you have essentially created an ordinary Vault Dweller. What the hell, guys. We gave you demonic eyes, horns and even tails. We are extremely disappointed. Have a blast. We tried so hard!” the developers wrote.

Larian continues to collect information about bugsthrough the analytical system. So even just by playing BG3 you are helping the developers. In the next patches, the team plans to improve cinematic scenes, animations and user interface.
