How to fix the 3 main disadvantages of the iPhone X

iPhone X is the most advanced and beautiful iPhone, but that doesn't make it perfect. Most users don't have

complaints about the iPhone X itself, but the model has some shortcomings that can be annoying.

One of the main disadvantages: random set of emergency services, random screenshots of the lock screen and random activation of Apple Pay. Oddly enough, all these functions are associated with the power button of the smartphone and its pressing.

Fortunately, all these shortcomings can be corrected, and below we will describe how this is done.

1:Random emergency challenges

Some users accidentally start an emergency call, even while their iPhone X is in their pocket. In this case, you can simply turn off Auto Call in Emergency Call - SOS:

  1. Open Settings and go to Emergency Call - SOS
  2. Click on the switch next to Auto call to make it gray.

Now the call will not start automatically, but you will need to spend for this on the screen.

2:Random activationApple Pay

The power button on the iPhone X has a lotdestinations, one of which is Apple Pay activation. If you constantly activate Apple Pay when trying to lock or unlock a device, activate Siri, reboot the device or anything else, the best solution would be to disable Apple Pay activation by double-clicking the power button:

  1. Open Settings and go to Wallet and Apple Pay.
  2. Find Double-click the side button and click on the switch next to it so that it turns gray.

If you regularly use Apple Pay, then this option is not for you, because each time you have to open the Wallet application manually.

3:Random screenshots

Apple has changed the way it does screenshots on the iPhone X, so users often do it randomly when they hold a smartphone in their hand, take it out of their bags, or simply during use.

This problem is not so easy to solve. You can try to hold the smartphone in your hand differently or regularly delete screenshots that you accidentally took.

  1. Open the Photos app and go to the Albums tab.
  2. Select the Screenshots album, then click Select in the upper right corner of the screen and mark all random screenshots.
  3. Click on the trash can icon, and then confirm the deletion.

Unfortunately, the process will have to be repeated.regularly, and nothing can be done about it. It is worth noting that in iOS 12 there will be a small change that will help to cope with the problem of random screenshots, at least the lock screen.

These were the three main flaws in the iPhone X, and it's pretty easy to fix. However, there are other features that users constantly complain about, and we'll talk about them too.

4: AbsenceTouch ID and buttonsHome

Some iPhone X owners don't like itno Home button. This could be due to the pleasant tactile sensation of pressing a button or the Touch ID technology. Some people still like Touch ID more than Face ID.

You can use Assistive Touch to create a virtual home button, but this is not a solution. It's time to get used to the gesture controls and the Home indicator.

If you just don't like Face ID, you can turn off the feature and use a passcode to unlock your smartphone and other tasks.

5:Notch on screen

The notch is the dark area at the top of the iPhone screen.X, which houses the speaker, front-facing camera and Face ID sensors. Most iPhone X owners are already used to the notch, but some will never accept it.

If you are annoyed with the notch on the screen, then among your options is either just to accept it, or use a wallpaper that hides the notch on the screen. Any wallpaper with a black top will do.

Now the notch is not only on the iPhone X screen, but also on almost all Android flagships, including Motorola P30 and Xiaomi Mi8. You will have to get used to the notch as it will remain on all 2018 iPhones.

6:Lack of connector for headphone

Apple got rid of 3 for the first time. The 5mm headphone jack dates back to the iPhone 7, but iPhone X users still can't come to terms with the loss. Apple is unlikely to bring the connector back to any future smartphones.

If you're worried about the lack of a 3.5mm jack, you can either use an adapter or buy wireless headphones.

Most likely all of the above disadvantageswill remain in future iPhones as they will all be different variations of the current iPhone X. However, these are only rumors and much more could change.
