How to disable notification requests in Chrome browser

You may like banners with requests to display notifications in Chrome, or they may not.

encounter pop-ups witha message like “The site is asking for permission to: Show notifications – Allow/Block.” Such windows are very intrusive, so you are probably used to clicking the Block option. But what if you're tired of it?

How to disable notification requests inChrome

The method will be the same for Mac, Windows, and Linux.

  1. Open the Chrome browser.
  2. Enter the following link in the address bar and press Return / Enter:

chrome: // settings / content / notifications

  1. Turn off the switch next to “Ask permission before posting (recommended).”
  2. The item name should change to “Blocked”. This means that notifications are disabled.

Now you do not have to block endless request windows by browsing various sites.

If for some reason you want to return this function, it is just as easy to do.

  1. Open Chrome and follow the link:

  1. Next to the “Blocked” item, press the switch to activate the function.
