Your status can only be seen by your followers and those with whom you corresponded, but the new feature is unlikely to appeal to those who love privacy.

How to turn off Instagram activity status
You can manage the new feature in the Instagram settings.
one)Open the applicationInstagram.
2)Go to yourProfile.
3)Click on the iconSettingsin the upper right corner of the screen (gear or three dots).
four)Scroll down toShow Activity Status(in sectionSettings) and press the switch so that it turns white.
Now no one will know when you go to Instagram, and will not annoy you with messages.
If you do not disable the function, then you can see the activity status of your friends, and they will see your online status.
