50-year-old computer mouse will be sold for more than 60 thousand rubles

RR Auctions will sell a 50-year-old computer mouse - the first such mass-produced mouse

device. Its starting price is $800 (about 60 thousand rubles).

The mouse was invented by Douglas Carl Engelbart. It was announced in 1968, but it first appeared as part of the Xerox Alto computer in 1973.

The device, which was put up for sale, was given by Engelbart to Serge Timacheff, a former InfoWorld editor, Logitech PR director and photographer. The manipulator has three buttons, but it does not look at all like modern mice.

The auction will take place on December 17. Presumably the mouse will be sold for a much higher price than $ 800.
