Ministry of Economy plans to create a state register for IT startups

The new register will help make decisions on government support and track its effectiveness: with the consent of the startup

All interested organizations and development institutions will have access to this data, which will speed up the submission of applications, the department expects.

It is expected that the register will become the basisa digital platform for government support for startups and will combine disparate data about companies from information systems of government agencies and organizations.

According to Tarasenko, with permissiona startup will have access to its “digital footprint” to all interested organizations and development institutions. The Ministry of Economy believes that this will speed up the process of submitting applications and receiving state support, and will allow the state to monitor the work of companies and understand their needs for state support.

So, by 2024, the government plans to distribute 46.3 billion rubles to developers of "end-to-end technologies", and to startups in the field of artificial intelligence - 12 billion rubles, the newspaper reminds.

According to the founder and CEO of VeraVoice of Vladimir Sveshnikov, the registry can simplify the process of obtaining grants. At the same time, the expert notes that industry representatives may not want to share their "digital footprint".
