Kamchatka launched a map with the results of water samples analysis

A cartographic version of the data has been launched on the website kamgov.ru (the official website of the government of the Kamchatka Territory)

The study of water, air and soil is carried outspecialists of the Kamchatka Department for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring, Rosprirodnadzor, Rospotrebnadzor, the Ministry of Emergencies, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Kamchatka Territory, scientists and many other departments.

The length of the pollution spot off the coast of Kamchatka has already reached 40 km. Rosprirodnadzor specialists recorded an excess of iron, phenol and phosphate ions in water samples. 

Earlier it was reported that for a timelyResponse to the environmental situation in the Pacific Ocean, a 24-hour hotline was launched on October 5. All residents and guests of the region are asked to immediately call +7 962 216 37 52 in case of deterioration of health or detection of water inhabitants thrown ashore.
