On the level of OnePlus 8 Pro and Google Pixel 5: iPhone 11 has improved its position in the DxOMark ranking

Recently, the DxOMark laboratory changed its protocol for testing smartphone cameras, due to which it is now

gradually revises the results of already released models. And now it’s the turn of last year’s iPhone 11.

What changed

If earlier the iPhone 11 received from DxOMark 109points, then after testing according to the new protocol his score increased significantly - to 119 points. He received 129 for photo, 36 for zoom and 109 for video. In the early assessment there was no separate zoom category. But it’s worth considering that the figure increased not only thanks to him, because since its release the smartphone has received updates, including camera improvements.

Thus, even after a year, the iPhone 11 remainsa good camera phone - it’s not for nothing that it’s still in great demand. Photos offer accurate exposure, good color reproduction, excellent detail even indoors, and ultra-wide camera performance. However, DxOMark is not too pleased with the quality of the zoom, which is understandable given the lack of a telephoto lens. Ringing artifacts and overexposed portraits with flash at night prevent us from giving the iPhone 11 a higher score.

As a result, today's iPhone 11occupies 21st place in the overall DxOMark rating - between OnePlus 8 Pro and Google Pixel 5. However, not all models are re-tested, so its position may weaken or, conversely, improve over time.
