Development of the Yakuza series continues, and Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth was shown in a strange trailer at the Xbox Game Showcase.
What is known
We got our first impressions of the game at TokyoGame Show 2022, when a short teaser was shown, where the main characters Kasuga Ichiban and Kazuma Kiryu met under a recognizable red sign in Kamurocho. This new trailer has given us a glimpse into the next chapter of Ichiban's life, where he wakes up naked on a public beach.
The trailer featured characters whowere shocked and surprised that Ichiban unknowingly walks around naked after being washed ashore, which may indicate that the events do not take place in Kamurocho, but in Hawaii.
The trailer did not show any gameplay, but it can be assumed that it will include turn-based battles specific to Yakuza: Like A Dragon.
When to expect
Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth is due out in early 2024 for PC, Xbox Series, and (most likely) PlayStation 5.
