Sony Pictures Entertainment has released the first trailer for Monster Hunter starring Milla Jovovich.

Judging by the video, the plot tells about the squadmilitary men who, against their own will, ended up in the world of Monster Hunter. Still, firearms don’t really work against local animals, so Jovovich is trying to master the art of fighting with swords made of steel and dragon bones. A mysterious hunter, played by Tony Jaa, helps her in this. Over time, the heroine realizes that since she was able to get into this world, then the monsters will be able to get to Earth.
The Monster Hunter film is directed by Paul William Scott Anderson, who was also responsible for the Resident Evil cinematic universe. So you know roughly what to expect from the new film.
The Monster Hunter adaptation will be released in December, but Sony Pictures has not yet announced the exact date.
