Not a flagship: Galaxy A72 will be the first Samsung smartphone with a pentacamera

Samsung continues to develop its Galaxy A line, smartphones of which are receiving new features even earlier

flagships. The new representatives of the series will be the Galaxy A72 and Galaxy A52.

What to expect

According to insiders, the Galaxy A72 will bethe first Samsung smartphone with a penta-camera, that is, its main camera will consist of five modules. According to rumors, it will be a 64-megapixel sensor, a 12-megapixel wide-angle camera, an 8-megapixel telephoto lens with 3x zoom, a 5-megapixel macro and a 5-megapixel depth sensor. At the same time, there is one front camera, 32 megapixels.

Additionally, early rumors suggest that the Galaxy A72 will be the first Galaxy A smartphone to feature optical image stabilization (OIS). But the Samsung Galaxy A52 will have “only” four cameras.

Let's remember that at one time the Galaxy A9 (2018) becameSamsung's first smartphone with a quad camera, and the Galaxy A80 is still the company's only gadget with a PTZ camera. Of course, other manufacturers have penta cameras - for example, the same Nokia 9 PureView.
