The latest Russian processor “Elbrus-32S” will receive a 6-7 nm process technology

Information has appeared on the network that the domestic processor manufacturer MCST JSC will

produce the newest "Elbrus-32S" according to 6-7 nm technical process. This was stated by the company's CEO Alexander Kim.

According to the top manager, already in 2020 inside“MCST” will begin work on a new chip, which, based on the name, will have 32 cores, writes Expert magazine. Kim also noted that this new product should become the fastest among all processors produced by the company – this is necessary for the successful use of "Elbrus-32S" in high performance computing and storage systems.

According to the published data, the end of the development of the new chip is scheduled for 2025. Until then, the most powerful solution of the company will be the Elbrus-8SV model.
