New Microsoft Bing sometimes distorts found information

Search engines are at a new stage of their development with the beginning of the integration of artificial

intelligence. Now you won't need to browse a bunch of sites to find the information you need – it will be given to you in short (or not so short) messages that will be generated by the AI. However, this raises the question: how reliable is such a system?

Yesterday Microsoft announced its updatedBing search engine with built-in ChatGPT, which should greatly improve the user experience. While Microsoft has taken many precautions to ensure that Tay (a Twitter chatbot turned racist and misogynist) doesn't repeat itself, the company does warn that some Bing search results could be bad. Here is what the company writes in response to common questions about Bing:

“Bing strives to provide answersinteresting and true, but given that this is an early preview, it may still show unexpected or inaccurate results based on short web content, so please be reasonable. Sometimes Bing skews the information it finds, and you may see answers that sound convincing but are incomplete, inaccurate, or irrelevant. Use your own judgment and check the facts carefully before making decisions or acting on Bing answers.”.

And these “errors” easy to spot:The Verge asked Bing what Microsoft showed off today and was told that it showed off the new Bing search engine with ChatGPT, which is true, and also added that Microsoft showed off the search engine's capabilities for “celebrity parodies&# 8221;, which of course was not the case.
