Today, 105 residents and 21partner, including development centers of many large federal companies. Just since the beginning of this year, Alfa-Bank, S7, Russian Post and the Rosenergoatom concern have joined us, which will begin construction of a Data Processing Center in Innopolis in 2021.
Startup support program is implemented inInnopolis since 2020. At the same time, the development of the program was based on the experience that registered residents already had, but were actually student startups. Today, such companies occupy up to 15% of the area of the AS Popov Technopark, and their staff is about 20% of the employees working here.
For nine months of 2020 already 52 startupspassed the selection of the expert council of the SEZ. This direction is important for the development of the industry as a whole, not only for the special economic zone. Our country has fewer startups per million urban population than countries such as the United States or Israel. At the same time, it is often in this environment that ideas are born that contribute to the development of technologies, and many large corporations at one time started as garage startups. Therefore, it is important to support young IT companies that have difficulties with lending and, in general, have enough risks at the start.
