Apple's annual presentation is almost here, and every day there are more and more rumors and leaks about the upcoming
IPhone 12 Pro Max video
One of the main themes of all the iPhone 12 rumors has been the addition of a LiDAR sensor to the main camera. And Prosser confirms that the manufacturer will add it to select iPhone 12 models.
The insider also provided additionalinformation about possible support for new iPhone displays with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. In the video you can again see a screenshot of the screen with the settings menu open. There is an option marked to “enable high refresh rate” or “enable adaptive refresh rate”. Some rumors suggest that the iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max will have 120Hz displays, while the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Plus — regular 60Hz displays.
The video contains a large number of imagesiPhone 12, especially its display. Apparently, rumors that the notches would decrease turned out to be false — The cutout size is the same as its predecessor. Improvements will also affect Face ID — Apparently, it will work even faster and become even safer.
Recall that all this should be taken as rumors, but the video looks too believable.
Leaked design and specs
This time, a Chinese source published a live photo of the rear of one of the models in the series. Presumably, this is part of the iPhone 12 Pro Max — the most expensive iPhone of the 2020 series.
The metal blue panel shows a block withthree large holes for regular camera modules, one small hole at the top for the flash, the smallest hole on the right for the microphone, and the lower small hole can be adapted for a LiDAR scanner, but smaller than the iPad Pro or ToF time-of-flight camera.
According to preliminary data, the iPhone 12 Pro Max will have:
- 6.7-inch OLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate,
- 5nm A14 Bionic SoC,
- 6 GB of RAM,
- 128, 256 or 512 GB of built-in flash memory,
- iOS 14 operating system
- the main camera will include a 12-megapixel wide-angle module, a 12-megapixel telephoto lens, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle module and 3D ToF.
- The front one will have a wide-angle 12-megapixel camera and 3D modules.
The iPhone 12 will be announced on October 12. The other day there were rumors about the Apple event on September 10, but on this day, the inexpensive iPad 8 and the top-end iPad Pro, as well as the Apple Watch 6, will premiere.
