How did it all start?

Wildfires broke out on Wednesday: in the Belokalitvinsky district of the Rostov region

According to the interlocutor of the agency, when extinguishing a firethe body of a woman born in 1935 was found in a private house. Bone remains were also found in another building. The regional governor instructed to organize a payment of 1 million rubles to the family who died in the fire. He added that all documents will be prepared within 24 hours, after which payments will begin to be made.

The death of the second unknown person in the fire has not been confirmed at this time. 

Investigators and forensic specialists from the Investigation Department are currently working at the scene. Forensic medical and other necessary examinations have been scheduled.

Number of victims of forest fires inRostov region, according to preliminary data, is 46 people, said Governor Vasily Golubev. In the Krasnosulinsky district, 32 people were injured, another 14 in Kamensky. 

Damage

Wildfires in the region have already damaged more than 60 buildings, including 15 residential buildings.

Previously reported major forest fires inRostov region, where 14 people were injured, another one died. About 100 people were evacuated from the Duby farm in the Rostov region. Rescuers extinguished 20 country houses in the garden association "Pioneer" in the Belokalitvinsky district.

As a result of multiple fires, Rostov-on-Don was enveloped in smoke. There is a persistent smell of burning in the city, and it’s hard to breathe. Haze has been noticeable on the streets since the evening of September 2.

Volunteers  and special equipment extinguish the fire

All the people who lived on fireterritories were evacuated. Ksenia, whose sister was in the Duby farm, said that she personally went and picked her up by car. Many other Donetsk residents did the same.

We arrived, there were rescuers there and they let us through.People in the Tarasovsky district from nearby farms and villages were transported to the village of Mityakinskaya. There everyone was marked at the technical school. The fire was already approaching the houses, people came out with shovels and buckets, ready to put it out themselves. Many helped the rescuers.

In total, over 500 fires are extinguished in the Tarasovsky districtpeople in 140 special vehicles. The helicopters Mi-26 and Mi-28 AMTSh and the Be-200 aircraft with spillways were used. Almost 100 people from the village of Patronovka were evacuated. The temporary accommodation point was prepared in the village of Mityakinskaya. The regional forces of the Ministry of Emergency Situations transferred 29 people, 9 fire engines and a Mi-8 helicopter to the Belokalitvinsky district. The fire was localized by 22:00. Aviation safety stopped work until morning.

The first fire in the Krasnosulinsky region was localized at about 19:00 on 2 hectares, in the Kamensky region the spread of fire was stopped at 20:00 - on 4 hectares. 400 people in 114 vehicles continue to fight the fire.

Cause of fire
