Seniors are better computer and internet savvy than teenagers

Director of the regional public center for Internet technologies Sergei Grebennikov said

journalists that the level of digital literacy in 16 regions of Russia is above the national average. What's even more interesting, he says, is that older people are more computer and Internet savvy than teenagers.

Grebennikov said that teenagers are worseunderstand digital security than older people. He cited statistics according to which 80% of teenagers and 68% of adults do not know whether letters of a foreign alphabet are acceptable in .РФ domain names.

Grebennikov claims that every secondA teenager aged 14-17 years old lacks knowledge of how to use cloud Internet services and instant messengers. He also noted that every second child aged 7-13 years old does not work well with information editors.

Note that the NAFI analytical center previously reported that the highest level of digital literacy is shown by people under the age of 44, and the lowest is by Russians over 55.
