Searching emails on a smartphone in Gmail will become much better, but this is not certain

Despite the presence of many email clients, the Gmail application is still one of the most popular

of them, therefore every update in whichGoogle's promise to do something better is a small cause for celebration. With this update, the mobile application will learn to display “most popular results” every time you perform a search. And Google at least claims that they are likely to be much more relevant and will definitely find what you're looking for:

“When searching in Gmail for machine modeltraining will use your search term, recent emails, and other relevant factors to show you results that best match your search query, – says the company in its blog, – Now these results will appear at the top of the list in a special section, followed by all results sorted by latest”

Of course, it’s not exactly “standard” Gmail search didn't work well and someone complained about it, but if Google can actually improve it even more, then so be it.

The advanced search update will begin rolling out to regular users in a few weeks.
