US Air Force's last C-21A Learjet left the Middle East for good after 32 years of flying

The US Air Force announced that the last C-21A Learjet has left the Middle East. Business jets

The C-21A Learjet had a huge impact duringtravel in the Middle East. The planes were used as high-speed aerial platforms, delivering packages, evacuating wounded soldiers, and transporting dignitaries.

During Operation Desert StormC-21A Learjet delivered classified information on air missions. With the help of these aircraft, the military transported spare parts and transmitted reconnaissance photographs.

The last C-21A Learjet left the base "Al-Udeid"(Al Udeid) in Qatar on June 30th. The aircraft went to US Air Force Base "Scott" (Scott), Illinois, where he will continue to work as part of the 375th Air Wing (375th Air Mobility Wing).

Initially, the US Air Force was armed with 84aircraft C-21A Learjet. Over the years, their number has decreased to 19 units with an average age of more than 37 years. As of 2022, all aircraft were mission-ready.
