According to the authors of the article, there are three reasons why global warming is not so easy to stop:
- The Earth's albedo is decreasing due to a decrease in ice area
- The content of water vapor in the atmosphere increases due to rising temperatures
- The amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere is increasing due to carbon emissions during permafrost degradation.
Scientists are calling to stop climate change. For this, it is necessary not only to stop all anthropogenic emissions, but also to catch and utilize 33 gigatons of carbon dioxide from the air every year.
