There is a micro camera that can be installed on insects

Researchers have developed a tiny wireless camera that's so light it can be

A team at the University of Washington in the United States was inspired by insect organisms when developing the device.

Such a camera can transmit up to five black and whitefps low resolution on researchers smartphone. The results of the experiments were published in the journal Scientific Robotics. This device weighs just 250 milligrams.

The camera sensor has low resolution, it canIt is only 160 pixels by 120 pixels in size, and it is mounted on a mechanical manipulator that canThis will allow researchers to scan the environment and take higher-resolution panoramic images.

To conserve battery power, researchersincluded in it a system that takes pictures only when the beetle moves. Therefore, the camera can operate for six hours on a full charge. Beetles do not suffer from the camera and, on average, live as long as other insects.

The team claims that it is “the smallest inworld ground, non-volatile robot with wireless vision. " This device will allow researchers to obtain information about insect life that they would not have received from observations.
