In the footsteps of Cyberpunk: PS4 left without DLC for Horizon: Forbidden West

Recently, Guerilla Games, owned by Sony, announced DLC for its current top project Horizon: Forbidden West.

Story addition Burning ShoresShores) will be available in April, and the setting will be Los Angeles, which died during the apocalypse. The debut trailer also attracted attention because it only mentioned the PlayStation 5 platform, while the game is also available on the PlayStation 4. How is that possible? In an interview with reporters, the developers confirmed that the expansion will be exclusive to PS5. Reason – The previous generation console will not achieve the “grand vision creatively and technically”, and therefore all efforts will be thrown at the PlayStation 5.

Earlier, CD Projekt RED followed the same pattern, which announced that the Phantom Liberty DLC will only be available on next-gen consoles and PC. This caused a lot of resentment among those who trusted the Poles and, despite all the problems, kept the PlayStation 4 version for themselves. The reaction of Horizon fans is unlikely to be any different. Guerilla itself has promised more details on Burning Shores in the coming months. The big release will take place on April 19th.
