AMD and Intel processors compared on the speed of loading games

The loading speed of computer games is affected not only by the drive, but also by the processor (perhaps even more

degrees). The authors of TechSpot compared some AMD and Intel models.

The authors took four models: Ryzen 9 3900XT, Ryzen 5 3600, Ryzen 5 3400G and Core i5-10600K. These processors were tested with four different drives: Corsair Force MP600 (1TB, PCIe 4.0), WD Black SN750 (1TB, PCIe 3.0), Samsung 870 QVO (8TB, SATA), Western Digital WD120EMAZ (12TB, HDD) ...

First, the assemblies were tested in synthetic tests. As expected, the PCIe 4.0 drive with a platform that supports PCIe 4.0 showed better results. However, such tests may differ from the results in real games.

The authors tested the builds in Horizon Zero Dawn, Death Stranding, The Outer Worlds, Red Dead Redemption 2, Assassin's Creed Odyssey, Planet Coaster.
