According to representatives of X5 Retail Group, inwhich includes both “Perekrestok” and “Pyaterochka”, to make a purchase, customers will only need to scan and pay for the goods using a mobile phone at the exit, thereby bypassing the cash register. And in order for the system to start working, you need to download the X5 “Express Scan” application, then register there using X5 ID and start scanning goods using your mobile phone. It is reported that the nearest store connected to the service can be found on the application’s interactive map.

According to the chief executive officer of X5 Retail Group, the decision to introduce such a payment method is timely in the context of the coronavirus pandemic:
