Disappointment (Again): Todd Howard Confirms Starfield Will Run at 30 FPS Even on Series X

Immediately after the Starfield Direct, IGN interviewed the game's director, Todd Howard, in which he,

In particular, he said that the game on Xbox Series consoles will only run at 30 fps.

What is known

“I think it won't be a surpriseConsidering our previous games, what we are going for is – Howard said, – always these huge, open worlds, dynamic, super detailed, where anything can happen. And we want to do it. It's 4K on the Series X and 1440p on the Series S. We're locking it at 30fps because we want that precision, we want it all. We don't want to sacrifice any of this.”.

“Fortunately, everything works great for us.Often much higher than this. Sometimes it's 60 frames per second. But on consoles we block it because we prefer consistency where you don't even think about it.”, – the manager added.

It should be noted that this is not the first AAA project from Microsoft that will run at 30 frames per second even on the current generation – the same fate befell, for example, Redfall.
