In an interview with TheGamer, Dying Light franchise manager Tymon Smektala said that an update will be released in early summer that will make the game much scarier:
Horror is in Dying Light's DNA, which is why we want tokeep it moving into the future. Our next update, scheduled for early summer, focuses on just that - we're enhancing the nighttime atmosphere, making it even scarier. We hope to give players such intense experiences that they will get their pants dirty. To do this, we use everything possible: game mechanics, visual and sound effects.
