Roskomnadzor filed a case against Google

Representatives of Roskomnadzor said that the company provides access to resources that were limited to

official level. Pages with extremist, pornographic, and suicidal content may be posted there. 

The company did not submit any objections toan act drawn up by Roskomnadzor regarding the failure to remove Internet resources with prohibited information from search results. In this regard, administrative proceedings were initiated under Part 2.1 of Art. 13.40 Code of Administrative Offences—repeated commission of an administrative offense under Part 1 and Part 2 of the article “Failure to fulfill duties by a search system operator.”

According to RKN calculations, on average Google does not remove up to 30% of potentially dangerous pages from search results. 

Representatives of the company have so far not commented on the claim. Now Google faces a fine of 1.5 to 5 million rubles.
